In You I Stand - insideout
insideout banner

Have you ever heard a song that you liked so much that you rushed out to buy the album only to discover afterwards that it is the only track you ever play on that CD because the rest of the songs were just not of the same standard?
Well, In You I Stand is not that album, inside out have made every song a gem.

The aim of this project was to develop the songwriting, production and musicianship skills within the LCF music team - inside out - by recording a demo album of songs written by various members of the team. We have had a lot of fun doing this and because this is our first venture, we have grown and learnt a lot in the process. Our hope is that these songs will speak to those who hear them and point to our amazing God. Thanks for listening. All proceeds from the sale of the CD will go to two charities that we feel passionate about: Romanian Relief and Tigers Club.

The album opens with the inspirational title track In You I Stand with the fresh and clear vocals of Steve Potts, followed by the outstanding voice of Beverley Trotman singing the majestic and moving You Are accommpanied by the excellent guitar work of Chris Bass.

Alison Lewis awe-inspiringly and faultlessly delivers the memorable Still I Will Praise You penned by Liz Green - a song to remind all Christians that only the Lord is our light and our salvation. Looking For Me written and sung by Mark Storey, an excellent song that can also bear 'comfort' in troubled times.

I Live is another chance to hear Beverly Trotman singing, on this, her second collaboration with Chris - a beautiful and inspiring track. At The Cross is the second of two outstanding compostions written and sung by Steve Potts - this peaceful and contemplative song - paints vivdly how much we owe for the one true and great sacrifice given by Christ on the cross.

I Will Sing is a 'buoyant' song from Loz Joyner - his voice has a raw edge that gives this song its power and it contrasts pefectly with the smooth and rich cello, masterly bowed by Robin Campbell. Next we hear the smooth cool voice of Stuart Summers as he glides through Simon Conway's song Wealthy. Again, we hear the distinctive voice of Mark Storey as he delivers his own compostion Breakaway. The song tells us as it really is; that life for every Christian can be a struggle in a world of full temptations.

The CD ends with two exhilarating rock tracks; both of which are sung by the talented Steve Potts. The penultimate song Our God Reigns, is a accomplished composition by Martin Veares and the notable drumming of Chris Morris is evident in this track (in fact Chris' drumming is exemplary throught out the album). And so to the last track - and the album ends with a 'bang' - not a whimper - with Joel Midldeton's offering of Your Plan.
