Our children’s work at LCF is overseen by Vic Joyner together with a fantastic team of volunteers.

We love to take care of your toddlers and children in a fun, safe and secure environment.

Each child is taught in an age-appropriate group by helpers who have been screened to work with your child.  Full DBS checks are carried out on all 16+ volunteers who work with our children.

Sunday Mornings

On Sunday mornings, during the morning service, we provide for children aged 0 all the way up to school year 9.  Groups meet in the LCF church hall and at Hillborough Junior School, which is a short distance from LCF.

All our Sunday School groups are run by a very capable team of fun loving volunteers who want to bring God’s love and word to the children of LCF and beyond.

Each group uses age appropriate lesson plans to engage and help the children build an exciting friendship with God and learn to love others like Jesus.

The following groups meet in the LCF church hall:
Creche (age 0 to 18 months)
Pebbles (age 19 months to 3 years)
Live Wires (age 3 to 4)
Energise (schoolyears 7, 8 & 9)

The following groups meet at Hillborough Junior School:
Sparklers (reception to school year 1)
Jesus Kids Club (school year 2 & 3)
Dynamite (school years 4, 5, and 6)

Totstop

Whether you go to church or not, Totstop is a popular group that runs on a Wednesday morning from 10am – 11.30am during term time and is open to all pre-schoolers and their adult in charge. Everyone is welcome, there is a small charge of £1 per family.

FNC 8.12

Our Friday Night Club runs during term time each Friday from 6.30pm – 8pm, in the LCF church hall. It is for all children
in school years 3 to 8. It’s a time for making friends, building relationships and feeling safe and loved.

Children with additional needs

All children are welcome and we do our best to cater for children with differing and additional needs as far as we are able, by working with parents/carers and guardians.

Please speak to us about your child if they have any additional needs so that we can try to put support in place.

Safeguarding

Here at LCF we implement a Safeguarding Policy, a copy of which can be downloaded or viewed below.  This is the second Safeguarding Policy that has been implemented at Luton Christian Fellowship.  This current document has revised and expanded on the policy completed in 2002.  The policy will continue to provide an umbrella of guidelines and principles by which the children within the church community will be treated.
