LCF Live Comments — Privacy Policy

1. About this application
LCF Live Comments is a livestream comment moderation application operated by LCF.
The application allows authorised members of the LCF production team to view and moderate comments submitted to LCF's YouTube livestreams and select comments to display during a service.
2. Information we process
The application may process the following publicly available YouTube live chat information:
YouTube display names
Live chat message content
YouTube message identifiers
Message timestamps
Channel identifiers needed to retrieve livestream comments
The application also uses Google OAuth authentication to access the authorised LCF YouTube channel.
3. How information is used
Information is used to:
Retrieve comments from LCF's active YouTube livestream.
Filter inappropriate or unwanted comments.
Allow authorised production volunteers to review and queue comments.
Display selected comments during LCF livestreams.
Prevent duplicate messages and support temporary comment history.
Comments are not automatically displayed during the livestream. A member of the production team must select them.
4. Storage and retention
The application is designed to operate on a computer controlled by LCF, rather than a publicly hosted comment database.
Comments displayed during a service are intended to remain available for replay for up to two hours after their original receipt, after which they are removed from the active archive.
Other locally stored comment data is subject to the application's configured retention and cleanup settings.
5. Google and YouTube access
LCF Live Comments uses the YouTube Data API to retrieve livestream and live chat information.
The application requests read-only YouTube access and does not use this permission to upload videos, modify channel settings or post comments.
Google authentication credentials are stored locally for the purpose of maintaining the authorised connection.
Use of YouTube information is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service.
6. Sharing information
Selected YouTube comments, including a display name and message text, may be shown publicly during LCF livestreams.
Other comment data is intended to remain accessible only to authorised users of the local application.
The application does not sell personal information.
